As you can see from this picture I'm very much an outdoors person. Which proves that you should never trust a picture. My idea of the outdoors is a comfortable chair and a shady tree. I've been sitting for much of my life, and most of my interests spring from that position: reading, writing, trumpet playing, cat sitting. I've sold cartoons to Reader's Digest, First, American Scientist, The Saturday Evening Post, and others. My card designs have been published by Marcel Schurman, Recycled Paper Group, Oatmeal Studios. I'm the author of Drawing Cartoons (North Light Books). And for nearly five years I drew Spot the Frog for United Media. My obsessions: A Christmas Carol, books in general, and whether or not my head is round or square. I blame my lifelong connection with Charlie Brown. I also dream of the day that I once again own a Major Matt Mason doll. Ongoing projects include children's books, cleaning my office, animal shelters, and baldness. I live in Connecticut with my wife, Mary, our cat, Belle, and our miniature poodle, Willy. All four of us are rescue animals.
